The frozen dumplings here are so tasty, the Henan-style braised noodles are authentic, and the side dishes are amazing too. Definitely a spot I’ll keep coming back to!
I lived in China for 14 years and this is the most authentic Chinese restaurant I have eaten at in Los Angeles. There is a dish at the restaurant called Pídàn qiézǐ (皮蛋茄子). It's a preserved egg and eggplant combination. Sounds funky, tastes amazing. Don't expect eggs rolls, rangoons, & fortune cookies, but if you want a taste of central China without the air fare and hassle of getting a visa, go to Chef Fu's. 好吃!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant, and I was genuinely impressed by the food quality and flavor. The dishes were vibrant, fresh, and full of authentic taste. The portions were generous, and everything was served hot in metal pans that helped keep the dishes warm throughout the meal. If you’re a fan of bold, satisfying Chinese stir-fry dishes with great ingredients and solid wok technique, this place is absolutely worth a visit. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back to try more dishes!
Food: 5 stars. The flavor and portion of the food are impeccable. My personal favorite is the cold dish bar, where you can get three combination with $6.99. The flavor of the cold dishes is amazing. Cleanliness: 4 stars. The current rating from the authority is “B”, but it seems pretty clean inside and I have not had any problem with the food. Service: 4 stars. The service is good but it has a minimum of $35 purchase for credit card payment, if you wanna pay with your card with less than $35, you’ll then have to pay a $0.75 fee. Convenience: 5 stars. The restaurant is located in a small plaza and there are quite enough parking spaces. Overall: 4 stars.
If you can handle spiciness, check out this place. This place is very authentic. Food is delicious, and the price is reasonable.
Very authentic Hunan food!!! Been here many times already. The waitress lady is always so nice too.
Food is delicious But not very spicy. The eggplant is the best. The pumpkin pastry is also good. They put tons of cilantro in some dishes. Toilet is hidden behind the kitchen, not very hygiene for the kitchen. Price is on the lower end.
Spicy beef noodle soup broth was really good!! Our kinda new favorite Chinese Restaurant (Hunan cuisine) in the MPK area. All the dishes were decent and super flavorful but not overly in any wrong way. Quality flavor. Cauliflower dish, and the Intestine tofu dish are spicy! For those who like spicy (medium spicy lovers), it's good. But for mild to medium spicy eaters, it was barely doable but with tears and sinus changes. They said to ask them for light mild spicy (translate as small spicy) because maybe the app doesn't allow that choice? Note to self to order small flame/mild spicy next time for my sake. Spicy beef noodle soup wasn't too spicy. Super great broth! Loved it!! Didn't feel too salty. It was packed with flavor. I would recommend this for anyone craving noodle soup. If you take this to go and leave it overnight, remember to separate the noodles and soup, or else the noodles will soak up all the soup...and leave you soupless haha Its a rare occasion we order beef night soup or carb items but was craving a Chinese noodle soup dish. Pumpkin Pie dessert was like an air puff with thin flat mochi in the middle. They said no dairy is used but not not too certain if I trust that too much. Looking forward to coming back and trying more dishes!!
